Replaying the first few levels of my games because they were all too hard because "That's just what you did as a kid, either you got really good or you played the first stage over and over", I get to talk about SKANNERZ and how it both motivated me to go to the store as a kid and made me obnoxious as hell as I ran around scanning shit for monsters.
#Scannerz racerz how to
I get to tell people about blowing in NES carts as a kid or putting toothpaste on my PS1 discs before (no lie) putting them in the toilet because it was the 90s and early 00s and kids were gross and inventive on how to make games work. I mean, you know how documentaries on the past are cool? Or like, the youtubers tackling old game stuff is cool?Īs the years go by you get to become a small part of those tales and share em in the future with those who didn't experience them at the time- that's neat, that's cool. You get to share interesting or funny inconveniences of the past, or explain where your tastes originated and how that informs what you like today or what that evolved into in a modern sense. That's you as you get older, and that isn't exclusive to like "Life or death" things or big moral tales that instill character in the listener- that's you being able to talk about when Furby's and Tamagotchi first came out and offer a tale from a personal level to someone who didn't experience that. You know how you hear of stories passing through generations, or the old teaching the young? It's a chance to speak from a certain level of authority on things that are defunct. It's a chance to see today in a different perspective than many others. I think it's because to me, aging is a cool inevitability for those that survive to it. Like my eyesight was better a decade ago than it is today- if things continue then it'll be worse when I'm old- I don't like THAT but I can't help but hold no fear towards the arguable cause - aging. I just can't muster an ounce of fear or dread towards aging, even if some of the consequences of aging do bother me. I fear plenty in life, but you know how people who are somehow not afraid of death say they don't fear it because it's inevitable?

Overall, i think we’ve got the next skannerz. Perhaps evolving mechanics, showing your creatures files from your computer, battling, and even a pokemon go-esque system might be present in this toy.
#Scannerz racerz Pc
*a program that lets you and your creatures explore your PC and the internet. *an upgraded port program that lets you resize the window that displays your creatures *a test-building program that you can use to make portal-style tests for your creatures go online to the toy’s company’s website to spend your hard-earned points on more programs, such as. by raising your creatures, you can earn spark points, which are a sort of currency. when you plug your USB drive into the computer, you can see those creatures in action using a special “Port” program present in the drive, and interact with them using the mouse and keyboard. this the basic concept, but there’s more. by plugging your usb drive into the wall, you can connect the drive and outlet, allowing it to collect strange creatures made of electricity, feed those creatures(?) and even charge it to enable it to operate outside of being plugged in.

this toy comes with a special USB drive and a regular usb-to outlet adapter.
#Scannerz racerz download
Well, i was wondering, if you DID plug a usb into a socket, what would happen? would nothing happen, or would your usb download something from the house? perhaps special data, or.Īfter pondering on this situation, i realized we had a new potential toy on our hands. You know those memes about downloading a house, right? It’s genius, so i’ll just give you the summary.
